2025 Basic Class Needed Items

Basic Survival Required Equipment List

• Camping is Primitive (Tent/Hammock) and Walk-In Only
• Food is not provided, so bring adequate food and snacks
• Electrolyte drink mixes are recommended (Gatorade, Powerade, or Jello)
• Port-a-Potties are located 400 yards from Base Camp and serve as the only means of restroom facilities

NOTE: Orders cannot be shipped to the school property for pick up.

• Belt Knife (must be carbon steel, full-tang, non-coated with a 90-degree spine, blade length at least 4.3”)
• We recommend the Mora Garberg, or PKS Knife
• Multi Tool or SAK (Swiss Army Knife)
• Headlamp with spare batteries or charging brick
• Mil Spec Poncho
• A roll of 1" Gorilla tape (Gorilla Brand Only)
• 100' roll of Paracord
• 100' of #36 Bank Line (Pathfinder or Catahoula Brand Only)
• Backpack – size: 35-40 Liters
• Notebook & Pencils
• 2X Orange T-Shirt
• Analog Watch
• Pair of Leather Gloves
• Clothes appropriate for weather conditions and spare socks. 
• Appropriate Hygiene Items
• Bring Just add water or MRE style food & snacks that you need (no meals are provided)
• Bring any medications needed (prescription meds only).
• Bug Repellent (seasonal)
