I’ve had the ss version, I’ve had an old cold handle set that I’ve used extensively. The new carbon skillet is a whole new ballgame. It works so well I have left it in the home kitchen and use it nearly every day. Mine has worked better than any nonstick skillet I’ve ever had in the kitchen including ceramic surfaces ones. Nothing sticks, metal utensils are a nonissue, and cleanup is simply running a little hot water in it and wiping out with a cloth. Soot from a fire has t even stuck to this thing. The only big problem is now I must have a 10” version and a carbon steel 1qt bushpot. If I had that I’d put away all my other cook gear for the out doors, nothing else would be necessary. (Picture is not actual skillet. Who needs to see a skillet, honestly?)
Can’t be beat for the value and the cook ability and the bag is top notch
I have not got the use the skillet yet but like it a lot. The construction of the handle is like their 8-inch Stainless steel skillet. The skillet is already in my going to the woods/fishing/camping gear. The pouch is nice but only has a draw string with no retaining clip to keep in place. The Skillet doesn't not have a lid but the one from stainless steel skillet with fit, barely. Overall the product is good and looking try out soon but just wish the skillet had a lid.
Very well make. I would like a lid with it since I like to use it in the kitchen as well. The non-stick surface works great and cleanup is a breeze. The and is really nice the way it folds away. Can't wait to use it for camping this spring.
